“It was headed that way for YEARS.”

LOL!

In 1982 it was 65D-35R

In 2000 it was 50-50.

In 2018 it was 50-50.

Unless you’re just talking about total registered voters, you are very wrong.

It wasn’t 50-50 in 2000. We were shocked when the presidential election was even close in 2000. The democrats, by their own actions, were in trouble back then. They had promised the Speaker of the House of FL position to a black person if he helped them win back the house in the 1990s. He did what they asked but they backstabbed him and gave the position to someone else. Blacks were not happy with the democrats and the dems have not held the FL House since.

There hasn’t been a democrat President of the Fl Senate since the 1990s.

The US congressional districts in Florida have been dominated by republicans since 2000.

The only democrat elected to the US Senate since 2000 is Bill Nelson.

The Cabinet members, some who are elected officials, have been republican dominated since 2000.

The only reason “national” elections have even been close has been the massive cheating in well populated South Florida. Democrats always wait to see how many ballots they need to generate in order to offset republican votes in the rest of the state.

Your idea that Florida was a purple state was a media created invention. Stop listening to the media. They lie to you.

Having lived in Florida nearly 40 years, it has always bothered me to hear people say Florida was a purple state.
