There was also an M-14 that was select-fire semi-auto or full-auto. Designated M14A1 IIRC. LOTS of recoil in full-auto mode. Only got to shoot one once in basic. Fort Knox Ky. 1969. Went to Fort Polk for AIT, no M14s, M16s only.

I was at Ft Knox in '69/'70! Echo Thirteen Four...we always come back for more...Echo,Echo,Echo galore!
However,we only fired the semi automatic M-14.
