Well I’ll take your word for it then since I was never in the army (almost joined the army reserves) and am not familiar with the duties of those in support positions.

Here is an example of support, it isn't on paved roads and inside of buildings, and on sunny days, and the enemy is focused on killing and destroying and doing everything they can to interfere with your support people.


These are 100-pound shells, they have to be loaded, transported, offloaded and moved as many times as needed, and gotten through no matter what the weather is, or in spite the lack of roads, or enemy actions, or truck breakdowns.
