When we got our first TV in 1965, it was still the Wonderful World of Color, and the whole family would watch. I don’t remember if they had the Tinkerbell opening then.

They did, but the rest of the opening was a feature of color for the new televisions, not Disney content like the later Wonderful World of Disney did.
