Most of us true blue conservatives are wanting Trump in 2024 and DeSantis in 2028. Let Ron run now too for the practice and PR for the next cycle. There’s really no need for Trump or fellow conservatives to rag on him. Let it play out without the attacks on a fellow conservative warrior.
I agree. But there are so many here on Free Republic, who claim to hate DeSantis, and claim they would never vote for him, not even in a future election where Trump isn’t involved.
I’m trying to figure out the mindset of hate for a successful conservative governor.

Trump trying to destroy DeSantis is just what the Lefties love. Guaranteed they will use it against him if and when it is useful for them - 24 ir 28 ie 32, Reagan had no “practice” and Trump certainly didn’t.
But Trump can’t help it.
Unfortunately, while the personal attacks may have worked in 2016, they turn swing voters off these days.
