Durham says the “worst part” of what went on was the failure to uphold the oath of office.
Was he not sworn in, too?
Then how is recommending no charges against higher-ups not a failure to uphold that oath? And how does that not render his report mere handwringing?
“Then how is recommending no charges against higher-ups not a failure to uphold that oath? And how does that not render his report mere handwringing?”
Shhh! You’re not supposed to apply logic, truth and reality to the ongoing theatre we’re being subjected to. Durham plays his part by pretending to have “done something”. He is no better than the ones he is chastising in his “”report””. But we’re not supposed to notice.
Then how is recommending no charges against higher-ups not a failure to uphold that oath? And how does that not render his report mere handwringing?
I think that condemning Durham for not charging anyone is missing a few important points.
First, I suspect that Durham sees that the entire DOJ and FBI are so corrupt that no one would ever go to jail. It is unlikely that any charges would even get as far as the courtroom.
However, it might be a master stroke for justice releasing this report at this time in language so plain that even the blind can see.
Durham’s report will be discussed, argued over and the anger will build until by the 2024 election it will have strong influence on voters.
Because the cure for the nation is not in the jailhouse, but in the congress. Congress will in 2024 answer to we who have had enough.
