KHMELNYTSKYI — DID RUSSIA VAPORIZE DEPLETED URANIUM SHELLS?
Sonar 21 ^ | 16 May 23 | Larry Johnson

Russia’s aerial attack on the Ukrainian city of Khmelnytskyi is catching quite a bit of attention because of reports of a spike in Gamma rays following multiple, massive explosions. Educated speculation believes that the increase in Gamma radiation may be a consequence of Russian bombs blasting British supplied depleted uranium rounds into dust.

The photo above shows the intact weapons storage facility just outside Khmelnytskyi taken some time before the Russia strike. Khmelnytskyi sits 217 miles to the west of Kiev, which means these strikes were most likely carried out by cruise missiles, such as the Kinzhal or Iskander. These strikes also provide vivid proof that Ukraine’s anti-missile air defense system is non-existent or disabled in and around Khmelnytskyi.

Let’s look at some of the video evidence. There were at least three bombs that struck this weapons depot. The first strike comes at 4:29 am (see the first video below, which shows the three strikes). That strike apparently ignited secondary explosions from ammunition and explosives stored at the targeted facility. There is a second blast recorded at 5:07 am followed by a massive explosion at 6:10 am, resulting in a black mushroom cloud towering over Khmelnytskyi.

The following photo shows the aftermath of the strikes. The big crater in the upper left hand part of the image obliterated a couple of buildings and forests. Maybe this attack, with multiple missiles, will kill the tired narrative that Russia has run out of missiles and is scraping the bottom of the barrel.

It is not clear whether or not depleted uranium shells were vaporized. What is certain is that Ukraine lost an enormous quantity of munitions of various types that cannot be easily or quickly replaced. It also is noteworthy that Russia has been carrying out these kinds of strikes, not all with the same level of success, at multiple sites throughout Ukraine for the last eight days. Whatever small advances Ukraine has managed on the flanks of Bakhmut, they do not compensate for the massive loss incurred at Khmelnytskyi. This is a graphic reminder to the Ukrainians west of Kiev that they are at war and that Ukrainian military facilities are not safe.

Let’s hope Vlad didn’t nail the Brits DU rounds, the poor Ukrainian people will be suffering for a long time by the Brits “ gift” that keeps giving.

Let's put all our ammunition in one location where we have no air defense.

Interesting comments, a reason why the Ukie population is fleeing the area.

Russia has warmed for months that Ukraine was attacking the Nuclear Power plant in Zaporizhzhia with artillery, and that Russia were forced to invade the plant, shut it down, and remover the Nuclear fuel to safety.

Russia was also forced to invade the Historic Chernobyl Power plant via paratroopers, to secure the site against Ukrainian Artillery fire, to hinder leaks of radiation from the encapsulated former power plant.

Russia has for weeks warned against a Ukrainian dirty Bomb Falls flag attack, being planned with the UK.

After the Russia warning a US military team of Radiologist was sent to Ukraine to monitor radiation.

Russia warned 1 week ago that if the UK sent DU ammo to Ukraine it would be regarded as an escalation into use of nuclear weapons, and Russia wowed to destroy the shipment during Transit.

Never the less, the UK sent DU ammunition to Khmelnitsky, where a Nuclear power plant is located.

One commenter wrote:
“If the Gamma spikes began around the 11th, and DU shells do not have such radiation signature, then what else may have caused the early Gamma spike? ”
Answer: The Spent radioactive fuel from the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant.

This location was selected to hide the radiological trace of the DU ammunition among the background radiation from the Nuclear power plant, or to hide it among the spent nuclear Fuel from the Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power plant. Spent Nuclear fuel = Depleted Uranium.

The US Radiological team registered elevated background Radiation in Khmelnitsky right after the UK DU ammo was delivered, days before Russia attacked the DU munition Depot.
The Russians were full aware of the UK DU munitions transfer, and destroyed it when it landed in Khmelnitsky.

This was planned UK falls flag attack with nuclear material to be blame on Russia, and as an excuse for NATO to intervene directly in the war.
Now look for the Western MSM starting to claim that Russia used a nuclear weapon to attack the Depot.

IF it was DU, or the local nuclear powerplants fuel rods, the corrupted little beggars days are over. Reading Ukie and other social media, the Ukrainian population is finally starting to question Zelenskys actions- they have been decimated in many ways under his rule.

Pitchforks or a bullet to the back of the head? The natives are wising up.

No secondary explosions or any other indications of ammunition being cooked off so, no, this was not a hit on ammunition.

It’s still a heck of an explosion just it’s more likely fuel that got destroyed.

If they were educated, wouldn't they know that U-235/238 decays through emission of alpha particles, NOT GAMMA RAYS?

Wow! this video was unwatchable.

Because of the bleeding heart propaganda, words and music.

Just show us the explosion.

Ukraine does not store fuel or ammo in dumps.

I've got a better idea.

Let's hope the dumb-a$$ Brits did not REALLY send uranium bullets to the clown Zelensky where they could contaminate the Uke people and their land.

Ukraine does not store fuel or ammo in dumps.

Are you dense?

An ammunition dump, ammunition supply point (ASP), ammunition handling area (AHA) or ammunition depot is a military storage facility for live ammunition and explosives.

A dump is a name for a place that holds ammo or fuel, so yes they do.

Meanwhile, CNN mentioned the possible loss of one of our Patriots systems….I say good, get them all. They don’t belong in Ukraine, they belong here in the US.

Gamma rays following multiple, massive explosions.

Discredited. Slight rise in radiation happened 48 hours BEFORE explosion.

The "radioactive spike" reports are also undermined by the actual timeline of events, as well as misleading use of the monitoring data.

Thus, for example, a graph used in the Gateway Pundit report and in other tweets appears to show a sudden jump in radiation levels, but the actual increase, according to EC data, begins on May 11, 2023, at least 48 hours before the missile barrage hit the area (at which point radiation level actually dropped slightly).

Further, the changes in the radiation levels appear to be fairly minor, peaking at about 155 nanoSieverts per hour (compared to 165 nSv/h recorded in Kharkiv on May 8, or nearly 500 nSv observed near the Chernobyl exclusion zone over the past week.)

As other social media users pointed out, parts of Germany, for example, also saw compatible spikes, but no "nuclear accident" claims have emerged on the back of that.

I’m not quite sure about this, but it seems as though the release of radiation from a DU round results from the kinetic energy of the round making impact with it’s target. Simply blowing the munition up in place would not be enough force to compromise the DU bullet tip.

It couldn't have been a Russian missile. Ukraine shoots them all down. I saw video today showing a Russian drone blowing up a Patriot missile battery. I hope the system wasn't being operated by Americans. My nephew is training on Himars right now. I pray that he doesn't end up in Ukraine.
