2 Republicans on DeSantis' N.H. endorsement list say they still back Trump

In late April, Juliet Harvey-Bolia, a Republican New Hampshire state representative, was one of dozens of elected officials whose endorsements former President Donald Trump announced at a packed rally in Manchester.
On Tuesday, officials at Never Back Down, the super PAC backing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, said Harvey-Bolia is throwing her support to their guy. She is one of four New Hampshire legislators — the others are Reps. Brian Cole, Lisa Smart and Debra DiSimone — whom Never Back Down identified as flipping from Trump to DeSantis as it rolled out endorsements from 51 lawmakers in the state who signed a pledge to back DeSantis.
But that’s not how Harvey-Bolia sees it.
“I’m endorsing both,” she said in a telephone interview. “DeSantis has a lot of promise for the future, and Trump is great now.”
Smart, one of the other three legislators, said Tuesday that she remains with Trump — dropping DeSantis' total to 50 state lawmakers.
"I was so incredibly proud to join many of my colleagues in endorsing President Donald J. Trump last month and my support for him has not changed," Smart said in a statement provided to NBC News by the Trump campaign. "I'm dismayed by the games being played by Never Back Down and I will NOT be participating in any activities with Ron DeSantis."
The unusual dual endorsement and Smart's reiteration of her support for Trump added intriguing twists to DeSantis' efforts to show momentum as he nears making his bid official.

A smart play for Trump would be to get people he knows is solid to “support” Mr day 8 only to pull endorsements. A reverse endorsements myth can be created. We’ll all laugh. I’d prefer Desanctimonius go away so we can focus on ballot harvesting early.

I think DeSantis knows that unless Trump dies, or is physically incapacitated that Ron has no chance in 2024.
OTOH, I think DeSantis believes that to have ANY chance in 2028 he has to run this gauntlet thing. And he has to act like he is in it for real in 2023/24.
At any rate, DeSantis can gain a lot of good connections and experience during this “training season”.
Full disclosure - I am pro-Trump, but am fully aware that unexpected things are the ones that seem to have been happening for the last {mumble...mumble...mumble}........

How about the deliberate, and continued, lie about his intent to run for president....
The lying that was shown as far back, as in his debate with crist, when he was suppose to be running for re-election as governor.
“You’re running for governor,” Crist said, looking at DeSantis as the governor looked forward. “Why don’t you look in the eyes of the people of the state of Florida and say to them if you’re re-elected, you will serve a full four-year term as governor. Yes or no?”
DeSantis said nothing as four seconds ticked by and the debate hall started to fall quiet.
“Yes or no, Ron?” Crist asked again.
“Well, listen,” he said, “I know that Charlie’s interested in talking about 2024 and Joe Biden, but I just want to make things very, very clear. The only worn-out old donkey I’m looking to put out to pasture is Charlie Crist.”

The lying that continues, with the game playing he does when questioned about his polling or when he's going to announce his offical campaign.

About one third of the Republicans in the Iowa Statehouse have endorsed Desantis. He hasn’t even announced.

Sounds like DeSantis simply refused to answer the “have you stopped beating your wife yet” query
DeSantis didn’t say “Charlie, I will not be a presidential candidate in 2024.” DeSantis didn’t answer.
Sadly that’s not even good enough to qualify as a gotcha
