Given how they slavishly follow his every command I was wondering if Trump supporters were going to make the leap from picking Trump over more conservative candidates to picking Trump over conservatism itself. Looks like I got my answer.

Sadly (except for the first sentence which definitely is NOT sad), all this is true and something for which we MUST make allowances if we are to prevail in the bigger picture.
