President Trump has captured wide support in the great state of Kentucky as the 2024 presidential season has begun to pick up steam, according to new data from Emerson College.
Per their findings, the president holds a whopping 56-point lead for the Republican 2024 presidential nomination, netting 70 percent of support among a field of potential primary candidates like Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., and former Vice President Mike Pence, along with declared candidates like former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
In that poll, Gov. DeSantis garnered 14 percent of support from Republicans.
The results of Emerson College’s survey in Kentucky come after a GOP primary poll conducted by Co-efficient found that Trump held a 33-point lead over the field of Republicans. In that same poll, Gov. DeSantis garnered 19 percent of support against Trump’s 52 percent.
The president addressed the recent polling data on his Truth Social account, writing, “Rob DeSanctimonious and his poll numbers are dropping like a rock – I would almost be inclined to say, these are record ‘falls.’ The question: Is ‘Rob’ just young, inexperienced and naive or, more troubling, is he a fool who has no idea what he is doing. We already have one of those in office, we don’t need another one. MAGA!”
DeSantis has not yet officially announced a 2024 presidential bid, it is rumored that he may announce it after Florida’s legislative session comes to a close in May.
A report from NBC6 Miami indicated that the governor’s postulated run for the presidency could happen at any time, based on two sources who say that the DeSantis campaign is allegedly poised to move to a new base of operations this week, which would require financial disclosure requirements.
Where’s the Meatball From FLA?
To infinity and beyond!
😁
It won’t matter. You have 1 MAYBE 2 chances to knock off Trump. Rick Santorum won Iowa. If Desanctimonius or another doesn’t take Trump out in that trash caucus that never yields a clear winner then you better beat him in NH or everyone will get scared of not having a role in a Trump admin and they’ll bail. If you can’t beat Trump in tailor made Iowa caucus or NH soon after it’s hard to see how this doesn’t go to Trump. He’ll be going to NV where he endorsed the govenor and then he’s got the backing of the 30 time Senator there.
I’m not understanding why Trump is even campaigning against DeSantis. He doesn’t need to. It’s just a waste of time and money.
Mitch McConnell is not liking this news!
Leave no battle uncontested. Otherwise you damage the brand & look weak. Trump does not strike those that do not strike him first but never holds fire if attacked.

What Trump has done is touched the desire to generate massive upheaval in the Swamp.
Anyone living within 50 miles of DC should get no interviews, get no lobbying money, and be forbidden from serving in any RNC staff capacity.
Simple as that. Start with DC, then NYC, then LA. Easiest of all, anyone who has been involved with politics over 6 yrs. Ejected.
And that will end the GOPe who wish to posture as if they are something in any way respectable. They are Swamp filth, and are looking at each other in amazement because they never realized the disgust the population feels about them.
Trump does not strike those that do not strike him first but never holds fire if attacked.
I would have to review the history of all the back and forth, but my recollection, is that Trump started all this DeSanctimonious name calling business, unprovoked by anyone.
To me Trump looks weaker wasting his time but I get what you are saying.

Tell that to the DeSantis “campaign”
The Trump DeSanctimonius name call occurred in October days after O'Dea in Colorado trashed Trump on CNN and then DeSantis followed by endorcing O'Dea.
The absolutely deserved "De Sanctimonious" nickname came in response to DeSantis' re-election campaign video, "So God Made a Fighter." One of the most cringe videos ever produced and published.

Few had seen Ron's "God" video when Trump rolled out the nickname at a rally, so many at the time thought it was a low blow.
It wasn't.
Thanks Dilbert SD, for your courtesy. I remember it differently but I do not think it is worth the hunt to address that issue at this point.
If all else fails, they will kill him before they will let him be president again.
Right, they are wasting their money as well.
DeSantis and Trump, stop wasting your money and use it to defeat evil instead. Thank you.
Well done. I hope they follow your advice

“A new poll Sunday in the race for Kentucky’s Republican gubernatorial nomination showed Attorney General Daniel Cameron with a nearly 2-to-1 lead over Kelly Craft ahead of today’s primary.
Cameron holds 33% support from the 500 registered GOP voters surveyed by Emerson College Polling for Fox 56 Lexington. Craft, who served as ambassador to Canada and then the United Nations under President Trump, had 17.6% backing.
The margin between the top two candidates exceeds the 12.8% who said they were still undecided. The poll also has a margin of error of 4.3%.”
