“Hey, Enzo.”
During WWII Enzo was a fairly wealthy man, but a well known engineer...He had, for the rest of his life, a body guard.
NO ONE could EVER (outside of his immediate family) call Mr. Ferrari Enzo. He was always referred to as Mr. Ferrari or Il Commendatore (capital I, small L).
However most mornings Il Commendatore was greeted by his bodyguard: “Good morning (in Italian), Enzo!” he would say.
In response Il Commendatore would say: “”Good morning (in Italian), Enzo!”...the first name of his bodyguard...
Great history.
When I read the article, “Hey, Enzo” or “Oh, Enzo” popped intro my head. Not sure where I heard it, but think it might’ve been a TV commercial long ago. I don’t know if it was associated with the car or not. Just can’t remember.
