I grew up in Minnesota, left there waaaay back in 1969. Even back then the DFL was synonymous with communism. The main difference then was that the DFL was in fact mostly a party of radical politicians pretending to be advocating for farmers. The farmers pretended to put up with the DFL because the DFL pretended to advocate for the farmers.

Farmers never rioted, would never on strike, and were patriots despite the DFL crap. Things have certainly change in the land formerly known as “Minnesota Nice.” Although Mrs. Afterguard and I still have extended family there, we will never go back. Such a shame...
