Perhaps Governor DeSantis will announce his run for President in 2024 about the same time “deathly ill” Vladimir Putin dies from whatever he’s allegedly sick with this month.

These guys are so RINO’s, that do not have a clue. Desantis time as come and gone all, is tanking in the polls in entirely him...had nothing to do with Trump...these guy’s don’t get it.

I’ll sit out the next election if he is nominated. The protesters will rot in prison because he says that’s where they belong.

Trump supporters are very devoted.
DeSantis is going to have to prove himself worthy of being Trump’s replacement. This will take time and effort.
Trump is running in top form politically.

“… Members of DeSantis’ team have argued that, despite continously trailing the former president in the polls, the governor’s base of support will expand as soon as he officially declares that he’s running…”
****************************************************************
As a Trump supporter who also likes DeSantis, I’d have to characterize this as a MISCALCULATION.

Sorry, I can’t see my wife and I switching, when we know Trump can do the job against all the odds against him.
Trump doesn’t give a F about them.

DeSantis team claims Trump supporters will switch allegiance when he enters the race
I can agree with that. And, I'm a Trump supporter.
But, I'll switch support from president Trump after he has served his second term. And then, for the 2028 election, I will support DeSantis, unless Trump is running again because of a constitutional amendment which allows Trump to run for a 3rd term.

Nope. I’ll be nice as to the reason. Fla needs a good governor. DeSantis is that governor.

Wrong. Not for 2024!
For starters, DeSantis would be burdened with maintaining polls numbers and worrying about re-election.
Trump, will have no such burden. And it's this kind of President we must have this next cycle if we are to have even a miniscule chance at saving this country.
He'll be looking for revenge against the hate America first crowd, and he'll have nothing to lose this time around.
