Why would God bless that place? What have they been doing to justify that? Please explain.

Going to church for one thing, and suffering at the hands of brutal invading non-Christians for another.

Ukranians practice Christianity, Russians don’t, and even Christmas in Russia only attracts about 1% of the people attending that week.

“About half of Ukrainians attend church services, which has hardly changed since 2000. In general, 15.6 per cent of Ukrainians go to church once a week or more often, another 18 per cent once a month and 34.6 per cent only on major holidays.”

“In Russia the Orthodox celebrations of last Christmas, according to police assessments, were attended by 1 million 400 thousand people, equal to 1% of the population. It is a clearly lower figure than that of 5 or 10 years ago; however not everyone accepts it: some say the police didn’t count correctly; in any case, no type of calculation records a presence of the faithful higher than 3%, and in one of the major holidays.”
