Hmmmm. Who are the RINO’s going to back if DeSantis bails? My guess would be Youngkin. If we start seeing pro-Youngkin stories popping up in the news over the next few weeks, that might be a tell.

Youngkin would be a fool to burn all those bridges at his age. I don't know of him showing any interest in running. The RINOs have money, and unloved consultants, and a stable of scribblers who can get work at the Washington Post. They DON'T have a lot of volunteers for the ring, because they value their personal comfort more than their stated principles. That's why they couldn't get scribbler David French to run, and had to settle for Evan McMullin in 2016.
Haley, Pence, Hutchinson, L. Cheney, Christie . . . all deluded or ciphers or both. Not a one will break out of single digits. If they drew straws to get a one-on-one, the "winner" would not break 20% over or win a single state.
I left out Vivek Ramaswamy. He's running for president. He's not running against Trump. He's able to get his feet wet and he has a future, just not as the 2024 nominee.

In the past month, Youngkin has hinted he won’t be a player...already discounting himself as VP (it would appear). I think Youngkin will gear up and run in 2026 (next race with Warner) for US Senator. His vice (Sears) would end up eventually as Governor (my scenario to watch).

Youngkin is no Chris Christie. I don’t think DeSantis is either, but the RINO’s are trying to find somebody, anybody.
Heck, Lix Cheney even.
