“Maybe 15 years ago Car and Driver did a test/article where they equipped a vehicle with a matched set of space-saver spares then did their typical road test. Surprisingly, the results were not that much worse than the car with the standard issue tires.
I suspect in an emergency a space-saver spare would last significantly more than 50 miles.”
2019. One on front and a second test with one on the rear. Spare has a super traction rubber which wears faster. Will last more than 50 miles but article gives no estimate.
Watch his linked video and see that he is misquoting his link.
"Which EV do you own and drive?"
Mine:
My 2019 came with a tire.
I live in Michigan.
I have heard of people driving their doughnut spare totes over 2000 miles. Also saw a car headed up to the UP of Michigsn with all 4 tires doughnut spares.
Which EV do you own and drive?
“Yes, I know you have a Roush Mustang, but that’s not an EV.”
Correct.
Meanwhile, get a load of this from the UK...

Especially the bit about what running out of fuel will cost you. And that includes EV drivers...
I agree. Easy driving will allow far more than 50 miles.
High speed from KC to points west, not safe. Jmo
It says 10,500 roadside breakdown of EVs during the year. This includes spent batteries. That seems a lot of incidents for the relatively small number of EVs on the road.
Seems like the logical solution is to bring back continental kits.
From now on I'm operating with the belief that you do not own an EV and that you're nothing but a posturing blowhard regarding them.
Correct me if I'm wrong here.

The posturing blowhard on this thread is Anthony. View his video and check his first post for the errors.
Failure to do so ranks you right their with him.
Post 73 and failing the request to either ID or post a pic of the owned EV indicates you are correct.
It seems TeslaGator is not a TeslaGator after all. And after perpetrating such a fraud, Texas would surely not claim.
Thanks for the link. I like Scotty and his videos. I know a few that have Teslas and have not had experiences like what he is talking about.
Yes, it appears the emperor has no clothes and should be ridiculed on every EV thread he soils.
“Post 73 and failing the request to either ID or post a pic of the owned EV indicates you are correct.”
I see that you fail to post a picture of your owned EV. Why are you afraid to do so?
Which EV do you own and drive?
You're lugging around a battery that weighs HALF A TON and can't spare 30# for a spare tire? Not even #20 for a space saver?
Pull the other one.
