Nice bit of editing.
See, we can do it, if we all just come together to fight climate change.
American ICE cars have not had a spare tire when brand new for a LONG time.
THE “DONUT” ‘spare’ cannot be driven more than 50 miles.
NO REAL SPARE-—NO ASHTRAYS, either.
I’m no EV lover by any stretch but no spare tire is not exactly uncommon nowadays........my wife’s 2015 import doesn’t either.
Why? Because many higher end vehicles come with run flat tires.....and have for awhile.
Thank you.

2020 Toyotas did
The insanity is strong with this one.
“An Australian driver has revealed one of the struggles of owning an electric car - the fact they don’t come with spare tyres.”
Most ICE cars don’t come with spares. My last three had “Mobility Kits”.
“Why? “
EPA!
Many new cars do not come with a spare, not just EVs. And those who have cars with spares probably have flat spares because they’ve never checked them.
Jeeps have full-sized spares.
.
Tesla EV average cost of repairs for first 4 years of ownership is:
$69,000
$69,000
That is not the cost of the Vehicle
Modernspare.com seems to be a popular place for buying spare tires for new cars that don’t come with one.
Bet it is his second car to Virtue Grandstand while his gas car does all the work.
In the distant past I owned two BMW sedans, both came with full size spares mounted on a BMW alloy wheel, the spare wheel and tire matching what was on the car. It was nice just to be able to yank off the flat, mount the new tire and worry about the replacing the flat tire later.
The last BMW I looked at online came with a tire repair kit. Ok, in some situations, but if you’ve got a hole in the sidewall, it aint’ gonna work.
bttt
The greater car weight means a much wider tire. 90% of drivers don’t have the upper body strength to change such a large tire, so would have to call for help anyway.
He never “exposed” anything but his being stupid.
