North Dakota Republican Gov. Doug Burgum has signed a bill into law that allows public school teachers and state government employees to ignore the pronouns their transgender students and colleagues use, the governor’s office announced Monday.
The new law also requires teachers to tell parents or legal guardians if students identify as transgender. It also prohibits transgender students from using the bathroom of their choice without prior approval from a parent or guardian.

There is an alternative on bathrooms, you know. Simply set up a third, or maybe even a fourth, alternate bathroom for the “transgenders” they MUST use, or if the “transgender” females end up using then to rape “transgender” males, the fourth alternative bathroom may be necessary.
There is actually no such thing as a “transgender”, there are only transvestites acting out cosplay complete with cosmetics, or there are genuine neuters created by chemical castration or excessive hormonal treatment and some drastic cosmetic surgery. No human being on the planet, ever, has fully transformed from biological male to biological female, or from biological female to biological male. That physiological fact was baked in at the moment of conception. No amount of specious reasoning or faulty logic can change the reality of either XX or XY chromosome count.

Simpler solution: just pass a law stating that being male or female is an immutable characteristic based on biology.

I was a zoologist many years ago, but I still remember what a woman is, and I understand the sexual dimorphism found in nearly all vertebrates and most other animals.

No, no alternative needed. Boys, established from conception, are to use the boys room and girls can use the girls room. Any child whose parents are too whacked out to observe objective biology can keep their social experiment at home, or in a private school set up for such freaks.
