I have no idea where this notion about learning from children originates. It’s in entertainment, advertising, political speeches and more. When I was growing up my father made sure that I knew that I knew nothing ... yet. He was constantly teaching me, not the other way around. I did the same with my children. Now, as they approach their 30’s they almost know enough to have a reasonable conversation. (j/k)

(j/k)I have a high school diploma, my daughter graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science and my Son-in-law has a PhD in Instructional Technology. I still let them know that I know more than they do. They might smugly believe differently but not to my face.
