Nolte: Another Never Trump Lie Debunked — ‘Trump Can’t Win’
Breitbart ^ | JOHN NOLTE

Posted on 05/09/2023 7:43:22 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

The serially lying Never Trumpers have spent months spreading the lie that former President Donald Trump can’t beat His Fraudulency Joe Biden in a 2024 rematch. Yeah, well, the data proves the exact opposite.

In the Real Clear Politics poll of polls, Trump currently enjoys a single-point lead over Biden. If the 2024 election were held today, the poll of polls says Trump would beat Biden nationally 44 to 43 percent. If Trump beats Biden nationally, he will almost certainly win the Electoral College. In fact, Trump won the Electoral College in 2016 even though he lost the national ballot to Hillary Clinton by 2.1 points — 46.1 to 48.2 percent.

Most importantly, a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll has Trump beating Slow Joe by a full seven points — 49 to 42 percent when leaners are included. This is not a poll kind to Republicans, and it shows Trump romantically close to the magic 50 percent mark.

Without leaners, Trump beats Biden by six points, 45 to 39 percent.

Listen, although my vote is currently leaning towards Trump, when it comes to the choice between Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), that’s what you call a luxury problem. Trump has already proven to be a great president. DeSantis would unquestionably be a great president.

But.

The proven liars in the Never Trump movement continue to assure us 1.) Trump can’t win, so 2.) we must vote for DeSantis, who can win.

Except.

In the RealClearPolitics poll of polls, DeSantis is only ahead of Biden by 1.6 points.

DeSantis has bested Biden in six of the last nine national polls, with one tie.

Trump has bested Biden in three of the last nine national polls, with two ties.

Plus, Trump is one of only 46 people in history ever to win the American presidency. He knows how to win this office. He’s done something almost no one else ever has. Winning the presidency is a unique accomplishment, a unique talent. We still don’t know how DeSantis will handle the Big Stage. His soft-launch rehearsal with Piers Morgan was not terribly impressive. That doesn’t mean he can’t improve, but it does mean we don’t know if this great governor is a Scott Walker — a great governor who didn’t carry the stature for the big job — or a Ronald Reagan — a great governor who did.

But the idea that Trump can’t win in 2024 is pure nonsense, pure Never Trump propaganda.

Never forget that Never Trump backed Hillary Clinton, even though we all knew in 2016 that the next president would replace at least two Supreme Court justices. Trump ended up replacing three.

Never Trump is not principled, but they are Democrats.

This stuff is not personal.

Never Trump is not never Trump. It is Never Drain The Swamp.

They are immersed in the swamp of career politics and lobbyists and fundraising.

It is THAT which they cannot endure. It is those aspects of society that Trump, and MAGA voters in a general way, hold in contempt.

It is their pocketbooks, divorced from the general US economy, that they seek to protect . . . from Trump.

It’s not Trump they hate. It’s erasure of their self declared respectability they hate.

Has DeathSantis gotten a permission slip from Netanyahu yet to make a statement?

TRUMP WON in 2020.

If what happened in 2020 and 2022 happens again, then yes, Trump can’t win officially.

Nationally.

So how does Trump win the swing states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Arizona, particularly if fraud is involved?

DeSantis would unquestionably be a great president.

Sorry, but I have a lot of questions regarding that.

He won twice already. He can do it again by a bigger margin since people have seen Biden in power.

It's a valid question that needs to be answered.

For starters, I'll point out two things.

Trump won those swing states without the fraud.

Trump's main challenger, DeSantis, refuses to even acknowledge that the fraud occurred.

That's where we're at right now.

I see a lot of dissension here on this topic, so I will add my 2 cents worth. 2 cents in 2023 is probably about .000002 mills or less in real money.
Anyhow, both the Republican elite & their leaders in the Democrat party agree that President Trump will never be allowed to be President again.
I think that is what the multiple court cases are now about. Simply to keep him off the ballots. I am sure there is a judge somewhere that will rule him disqualified and by the time the Supreme Court makes a ruling on it, Trump will be long dead and buried.

Yes, Trump won in 2020. The deep state refused to seat him. It will be the same in 2024

Trump is the only person to have ever lost a Presidential election to Joe Biden.

OTOH, do you really believe that, if Trump is turning out to be the nominee by June, and it is clear by polling that Biden might get beat, that the democrats are NOT going to just replace him with an actually popular democrat (meaning popular among democrats)?

The ONLY way Trump wins is if he runs against Biden, and Biden keeps getting worse, and the average voter decides that no matter how much they hate Trump, they can’t risk 4 more years of Biden or Harris.

And the Democrats will easily replace Biden and Harris if they need to.

And Hillary Clinton was ahead by 7% on Election Night eve of 2016 and had a 93% probability of becoming POTUS.

Probably is the media campaign against the Republican is intense the last year and it brings some of the Democrats home. And the ones who won’t say who they are voting for, how many of them are Biden voters who don’t wanna admit it? Trump can win though. Thank God Biden is so horrible.

Yeah, he didn’t win those states “without the fraud”.

As shown by many things, not the least of which is that he raised tens of millions of dollars after the election to “fight the fraud”, had access to the highest-priced lawyers and investigators, and completely failed to present a single fact to a single court showing fraud.

Which is not as surprising when you realize that the $250 million he raised for his “Official Election Defense Fund” did not actually go to the fund, for the simple reason that there was no “Official Election Defense Fund”, it was just a made-up thing so people could be tricked into donating money.

You are welcome to believe that there was clear evidence of widespread fraud, enough to swing the election. But if you believe that, you are left with the fact that the President of the United States, the person in charge of the country, the most powerful man on earth, the person who was in charge of the DOJ, the FBI, and had appointees on the FEC, completely failed to stop the fraud, reveal the fraud, prove the fraud, or win any court cases showing evidence of the fraud.

Either there was not enough fraud, or Trump is a failure, or maybe both are true.

I just don’t quite understand why a person who, in the end, proved he just wasn’t that good at the job, and failed on so many things, and then pretty much tanked 2 years of elections, is seen as a winner.

I don’t know about you, but I wanted to win so much I was tired of it. I didn’t think that Trump was going to get tired of it after one election, but he seems to have moved on from that whole “winning” thing.

Trump got lucky in 2016, and get slim majorities in a few states that were not expected, because of his populist, pro-worker message, and Clinton’s stupidity of expecting these states were locked up.

I know we expect Democrats to be stupid, but it turns out they are not always idiots, and by 2020 they knew not to let that happen again, while Trump meanwhile decided he deserved to win, and allowed two states he clearly should have won to slip away. And then because he’s really a child, he threw a tantrum that guaranteed that the Republican party would not control the senate.

Then he went around finding the candidates who would personally worship him the most, and send him the most money, and pushed them to win primaries, primaries that the democrats interfered in — to prop up the Trump candidates.

Then, when they were all in trouble, he decided not to spend any money on them, instead saving all his money to run ads attacking other republican presidential candidates this year.

And I don’t really care if you are tired of people pointing this out — but we are mostly tired of losing elections because one guy exists solely to build himself up, and not only doesn’t care if the democrats win, but has occasionally admitted he’d rather have democrats win.

Nope.

As shown by many things, not the least of which is that he raised tens of millions of dollars after the election to “fight the fraud”, had access to the highest-priced lawyers and investigators, and completely failed to present a single fact to a single court showing fraud.

That's strange. I recall Trump and his team presenting plenty of evidence in hearings in about about five state legislatures. And in court, I recall only being allowed two evidentiary hearings. One in PA where the judge said that there was plenty of evidence, and who's decision was overturned by the very liberal PA Supreme Court. The other evidentiary hearing was in NV. In all the other hearings we were turned away on BS technicalities.

I was here on FR every day for all of that. And I remember what happened.

Trump tried. Justice didn't prevail for us. The corruption in at least those swing states is very deep. The one who tried the hardest shouldn't be blamed. The one who has taken the most personal risk, shouldn't be blamed.

I blame the folks who kept their mouths shut. That would be somebody like Ron DeSantis.
