Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed multiple bills on Monday that prohibit Chinese citizens from purchasing land in the state.
In a news release, DeSantis signed bills SB 264, SB 846, and SB 258 into law, noting how he called on his state legislature last year to build upon its efforts to combat corporate espionage and higher education subterfuge carried out by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its agents.

The Oregon founders imbued its Constitution with many provisions consistent with the “Free Soil” movement, which included soil free of Chinese. While on several different occasions rafts of amendments have sought to purge the constitution of its heritage, the constitution seems to be protected by being long (and perhaps hard to stay awake when reading?) and I understand from a freeper that the anti-Chinese land purchasing clause was overlooked yet again when the most recent bout of purging took place a couple of decades ago.
