Why would anyone want to “extract ‘economic migrants’ from poor countries”?

They are essentially ALL poor relatively speaking. Its ridiculous this is the objection.
They basically admit they want to take in people who will be dependent on the state once they are here. Talk about pandering.
That is like saying “it reduces the federal government’s ability to chop every bodies right hand off”.
There is an article at the WSJ this afternoon that reads as if was written by a White House staff member and given to the paper to add a reporter’s name to. It presents Republicans as being the cause of the border chaos and blames them for not working with the Democrats for “immigration reform” i.e. amnesty.
Biden, the democrats, and the media are trying to reframe the issue as all the fault of the GOP. Forget that illegal alien crossing was down two years ago and it’s Biden’s policies that have caused the invasion. Let’s blame it on the GOP.
The article conflates the two issues of illegal and legal immigration and treats them as the same. For instance, this paragraph.
“Though most members of Congress acknowledge the current system is broken, lawmakers vary widely on what that means. Many conservative Republicans would prefer to see fewer or no immigrants entering the country at all, while centrists favor redirecting many of the migrants currently coming into new, low-wage visa programs.”
Joe is towing the line for the Marxists Dems.
So, there have been a lot of proposed border securing bills in the House this session. Since when is this one going to actually get through the House and the Senate?
Fine! But there will be no debt limit increase.

Make Biden veto the border reform law. At least he will completely own the immigration chaos.
