What is the verdict in a civil case? Is it limited to monetary damages, assuming the jury believes the story?

What is the verdict in a civil case?

There are numerous types of civil cases. In this particular case however, the jury will determine liability. If Trump is found to be liable, the judgment will be a monetary one which is supposed to reflect damages, compensatory, punitive etc.

I’m guessing that Trump will lose this case primarily because of his testimony (not my type, confuses Carroll for his ex-wife) and his failure to appear for the trial ( jurors generally don’t like that).

Also, on the outside chance that jurors were told that Trump refused to submit a DNA sample to compare it with the forensic evidence found on Carroll’s clothing, Trump will get hammered by the jury.

Keep in mind that this is all just a guess as juries are fickle things.
