NFL legend Brett Favre called for a boycott of Fox News on Monday, following the network’s decision to cut ties with host and Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson.
“I’m with Tucker. Time to boycott Fox until they come to their senses and let the man speak,” Favre wrote to his Twitter followers on Monday morning. The statement was joined by a montage video featuring Sirius XM host Megyn Kelly decrying Fox’s decision to cut Carlson from his show, followed by clips of Carlson from his iconic primetime show.
In the clip featuring Kelly, she suggested that the reason Carlson and Fox have been unable to come to terms on a deal is because the network wants to silence him. “He needs to be silenced while Fox tries to rebuild that disappearing audience,” Kelly stated.
...
She further argued that Fox is banking on their audience returning to watch political debates in August, or the potential announcement from Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis that he’s running for president. The rest of the video is a supercut of some of Carlson’s most influential statements, most of which could be argued as going against the wants and needs of the global elites who influence corporate media outlets.
The video concludes with the words, “Show Tucker you stand with him. Stand with Tucker. Boycott Fox News!”
Fox News abruptly ended Carlson’s show “Tucker Carlson Tonight” for still-unknown reasons in late April, replacing him with a mishmash of the network’s less successful anchors.
Add in Right Side Broadcasting Network for events and the handful of shows.
I see the new COPS sometimes. It always ends with the cop giving life advice to the bad boy. Dumb..
And people stop listening all the time, and they take their business elsewhere.
Antenna tv is an option but be warned: The commercials are brain rot inducing.
The mute button gets quite the workout at our house.
Too late. Tuckers last show was also my last show for the bud light of nooze outlets.
Brett, you are late to the party.
+1
Similar situation with me. We dropped cable tv about a year ago, too. I bought an antenna and started streaming from various sources, and I’m not looking back. The only thing I’ll watch on Fox News is Gutfeld.
It’s too bad, there a lot of other personalities I like- I used to watch Fox and Friends every morning, but no more. Gotta draw the line somewhere.
They brought this on themselves.
I have a ROKU and love it. Plus some streaming services.
If you can get REELZ, they have, on the weekend, the LivePD show that’s restarted, that A&E cancelled.
And I’m STILL paying less than I was for Comcast/Xfinity!
The LivePD program isn’t called that, and it’s on Peacock and Sling TV. It’s called On Patrol.
Had to correct myself.
Thanks, I’ll do that.
Right now, I am enjoying the beauty of not having 4 hours or so of TV every day. Got some long overdue projects to work on!
A DVR for OTA and steaming is in my future!
Cannot abide commercials!
Thanks for the headzup!
