Fubotv raised my bill to $100 so going to youtube tv is actually saving me money.
Fubotv just added that crazy regional sports net fee. I’m not paying $15 a month to watch the Orlando Magic. LOL. So I cancelled them, too. I’m on Sling right now. They don’t have local channels which is a pain for some sports since my digital antenna is not reliable but you can’t beat the price these days.
I check out videos from the local library, TV series like “Heartland” (great family series, 16 seasons now and still going). It’s free, just need a library card. The best part is I can order what I want online, and they call when it’s ready for pick up.
I think the numbers for this quarter are a bit skewed because a lot of people signed up for a streaming service just for the soccer World Cup last quarter. They never had any intention of keeping the service long term.
My high def antenna looks like one of those giant things you used to see on roofs in the 70s.
Designed to go in the attic or on the roof I mounted it in the attic and ran coax cable to several places in the house......it’s very dependable and only cost $50 on Amazon.
Because directv used to go out at the slightest weather event I had to do something......well worth the money.
How do you know the companies aren’t tracking you through your IP address and sharing it with others? I am not saying that that is what they do, but I believe it is possible.
Libraries... books, free videos, audios, from libraries are free...good stuff for free on Tube and other carriers
why have 500+ channels of 95% garbage? And pay for it? Defund those purveyors of garbage. I use my money for something constructive.
Direct TV is doing similar increases...with fewer channels.
So is XM radio, for that matter.
“why have 500+ channels of 95% garbage? And pay for it? Defund those purveyors of garbage. I use my money for something constructive.”
I don’t necessarily disagree with any of that however, I don’t live here alone if you know what I mean. 😏
Sling TV raised their price too high. It is getting to be a cable bill. I was paying $51 after this past March and really did not watch it. I had Blue $45 and Hollywood Extra $5.
I had subscribed when it was $25 a month several years ago and today I cancelled it using their Sling ChatBot. I figure I could always re-subscribed again and see if anything changed for the better. BTW they did not even try to keep me as a customer with a lower bill.
I watch the free Pluto tv and subscribe to many free Youtube channels and several other channels found at the Roku website and watch them using my Roku device connected to the tv. Plus I have a MOHU Leaf antenna to pick up the free over the air channels.

#33 I imagine because of woke shows like the newer Star Dreck franchises like STD and Strange New Worlds and Picard.
“YouTube TV also raised their prices. It’s now $72.99/month.
It’s the underlying channels that are demanding more money from the distributors”
I have no doubts the increase was to help subsidize Youtube TV buying the NFL Sunday Package rights. The Package is an add on premium for YouTube TV subscribers but those not opting for that package are helping to pay for it anyway.
Thank you
Nice thing about YouTubeTV is you can put CNN, Spanish channels at the very end so you’re not scrolling past them.
Standard Peacock. Look under new releases. Cocaine Best is running now.
