Having actually read the whole thing I can kind of understand what’s going on. Parents got upset when a pretend man/pretend woman teacher suffered a ‘mental crisis’ during school hours and apparently threatened kids. Obviously, “a very small but hostile group of extremists within our community.” /s
These extremists were also upset to find the said teacher restored to classroom duties within days of his/her ‘mental crisis’.
I don’t blame the union president for defending the teacher involved—that’s pretty much her job. “When the kids start paying union dues” then we’ll care about them”.
But why did the board act the way it did? Possibly cowardice or quite likely the current state of the law. The teacher and his/her sexual delusions is now apparently a ‘protected class’. And being crazy is also a ‘protected class’.
The phrase “The law is a ass” comes to mind.
Schools there are grooming kids, that’s obvious, and the school board is on board.
