Back in Feb 28, 2023 the NYP ran a story: Biden says he cut national debt by $1.7T — when he actually increased it by $3.84T. Well...he did it again yesterday in a sit down interview with MSNBC host (whatshername). *newb warning...if this thread gets pulled again...can you please explain what it is that I'm doing wrong and how to fix it? Thank you.

It was not a genuine journalist’s “interview”. It was MSNBC making an in-kind campaign contribution to the Biden re-election campaign - 100%.

Actually, reducing the national debt is very easy.
First, you propose a budget that will increase the debt by, say $10 Trillion.
Then, you cut that budget proposal by $2 Trillion.
Viola, you’ve cut the debt by $2 Trillion.
So easy to do, you can do it at home.

The IRS building and the DOJ building are closed. There is a 3 ft wall of sandbags around them. This is on Constitution Avenue for God’s sake. The grass hasn’t been cut and the shrubs look like they haven’t been trimmed in 2 years. Its all just decaying. There is a fence around almost every building including the Supreme Court and the Federal Reserve. Most of the buildings are empty. Tourists are wandering around looking at the decay. Its so in your face you’d have to be brain dead not to figure it out.
