Do any Mexicans in Mexico actually celebrate this obscure day? Hardly any. It's more popular here in the US where, much like Mardi Gras and St Patrick's Day, has been turned into an excuse by non-Mexicans to get wasted and as an opportunity for retailers and politicians to pander to Mexican-Americans.
