Russian Wagner Group leader says his troops will pull out of Ukraine's Bakhmut in days

'In the absence of ammunition they're doomed to perish senselessly,' Yevgeny Prigozhin says

Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of Russia's Wagner Group mercenary force, said in a sudden and dramatic announcement on Friday that his forces would pull out of the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut that they have been trying in vain to capture since last summer.

Prigozhin said they would withdraw on May 10 — ending their involvement in the longest and bloodiest battle of the war — because of heavy losses and inadequate ammunition supplies. He asked defence chiefs to insert regular army troops in their place.

"I declare on behalf of the Wagner fighters, on behalf of the Wagner command, that on May 10, 2023, we are obliged to transfer positions in the settlement of Bakhmut to units of the defence ministry and withdraw the remains of Wagner to logistics camps to lick our wounds," Prigozhin said in a statement...

Three-quarters of a million Soviets died defending Stalingrad. That’s quite a pile, methinks.

Серге́й Сурови́кин told us in plain Russian what the game plan in Bakhmut was last fall.

Some of those three-quarters of a million Soviets were Ukrainians...

Reagan understood that Communism, Socialism and Fascism were indistinguishable and evil autocracies that needed to be eliminated for any form of freedom to exist.

Putin and his apologist in turn, nostalgically support the return of Russia to it’s former ‘glory’ days of being a Communist empire... Why anybody would support that attitude is mind boggling, but a lot of those supporters lurk here oddly enough on a site called ‘Free Republic’... A forum that displays the nemesis of those doctrines... Freedom of speech.

No, Reagan would not be siding with Russian militarism and rebuilding the evil empire, he knew the threat in Europe was Russia.

LOL. Jesus would support Ukraine too, and would have joined the Ukraine Army, because he hated earthly empires and hated Satan (ie.Putin)

Like you? Your right froggy.

As for your former stupid comment. It will become obvious to you and your war whore ilk that you need to come to the realization that war is hell, And like the man said..”The more hellish it is made, the quicker it is over.”

Reagan knew the threat to Europe is Russia.

Don't make sh** up.

Reagan was quite friendly with Gorbachev and his FM Schevardnaze. So was Bush. James Baker took Schevardnaze fly-fishing in Wyoming.

Reagan once remarked to both: “I bet the hardliners in both our countries are bleeding when we shake hands,”

That is the diplomatic job of leaders.

Reagan had been pile-driving the Russians into the ground through Leonid Brezhnev, Yuri Andropov, and Konstantin Chernenko, and finally, Russia made Gorbachev its leader and having forced Russia into a more humble, receptive state, Reagan dealt with him diplomatically and wiped him and his empire out.

That proxy war in Afghanistan was undertaken by Reagan to bog down the USSR, a stratagem that helped send about 15K Soviets home in body bags and contributed to the collapse of the Soviet Empire.

The Kremlin and the Russian MOD have real problems with anyone trying to win on the battlefield instead of lining their pockets in Moscow.

After President Reagan killed the Soviet Union, Putin was forced to drive a taxi in St Petersburg. Putin has been holding a grudge ever since.

...........

Russia still chooses to be an enemy. So what Biden is doing is not much different than what Reagan did; support Ukraine(afghanistan) to Russias detriment.

Also, don’t underestimate the power of the Grenada invasion, it was quite a message by Reagan.

Go ahead and tell them, or Americans for that matter, that their borders and national security don't matter.

Go for it.
