Oh well, hard to get too tore up about this. One less crazy on the street is not a big deal.
Unfortunately for the white Marine, NYC's government DOES govern, and very aggressively, to protect violent black homeless.
We don't have a lack of government. In much of the country we have a government that prosecutes self-defense, especially when it's white vs. black.
I disagree. It does not govern, it rules with an iron fist, to protect those it favors and oppress those it opposes.
Certainly better than what NYC’s politicians are offering. Notice I didn’t say NYPD was offering. I’ve met a few of their finest, both current and retired and I know they want aggressive policing. One I’ve met gave up on the city and got a job in a rural Pennsylvania department. He’s as happy as a clam.

A few times on each subway trip, an announcement will be made saying something like “There are police in this station, if you need assistance.”
Meanwhile, you are in a car that is packed to the doors and windows, so you have a hard time even getting to the door at your own station
(Thus the constant announcements of Let The Passengers OFF The Train First.)
I don’t know what they can do. Can’t put an officer in every car of every train.
There’s almost always at least one unwanted person per subway trip, playing an instrument loudly in your ear or walking through the car seeking money. Not counting the ones just sleeping on one of the long benches. Next step up is acting crazy in a harmless way, yelling or singing.
You start to feel like it’s only a matter of time. But move to another state? Forget it.
