Fine example of how dictators can weasel in do whatever they want while the people just roll over and let it happen. Hochul uses the same principles that Hitler used. And the legislature is the SS. And since they now control the voting box(just like Hitler) they have nothing to fear.

In Philadelphia we had an oil fired furnace. Excellent system. Every few years we had to change out the spray nozzle for the fire pattern. It's like a fuel injector. I would take the old one to work, put it an ultrasonic cleaner for a few days, and save it for the next swap-out. It was a 2.5 gallons per hour nozzle. One 250 gallon oil delivery lasted around two months in very cold weather.

When we sold the house the new owners ripped it out and replaced it with a natural gas forced hot air furnace.

No, most of us heat with natural gas in the urban and suburban areas. I installed a new energy efficient furnace in 2019 that is super efficient. Princess Kathy can go freeze in her all electric mansion in Buffalo.

I don’t have time to calculate it but the infrastructure to move and equivalent amount of BTUs via a pipe for gas, vs copper wire for the same BTU is going to be massive. I am sure an AEC engineer here can confirm what a ridiculous stupid idea this is.

Hydrogen is worse. Without exception, it requires more energy to create pure hydrogen, store, and transport than it produces. Nat Gas is already there just waiting to be extracted.

This is one of the reasons I admire Mike Rowe. He understands what the loss of so many competent people in the trades will cost us.

He also understands the losses incurred by many people who would do better going into the trades, instead of paying tens of thousands for University degrees and then can’t find well-paying jobs.

That is awesome to hear!!!

Is the heater in the form of s manual stove, or is it mechanical or electrically stoked?

Florida’s nice and there’s ZERO state income tax. Not one red dime...Think about it.

Yep. Got to keep it running then. Definitely blow the dust out of it, change the filters and sand paper the flame sensor. Stock up on ignitors too.

It used to be how the mafia would dispose of hazardous waste. They would mix PCB’s, trichloroethane, benzene, toluene, and other waste oils or solvents to make them go away. Just mix them into home heating oil. Problem gone.

Hurricanes, alligators, bugs, humidity, lizards falling out of trees...and Florida Man. what to do, what to do...

And the longest Burmese python caught in Florida was 18 feet long... That said it's a fun place to live... well, sometimes a little weird.

Won’t building codes have to change to account for increased electrical consumption...?

Still wondering if this isn’t just a ploy to goose sales of existing residences and commercial buildings...
