My question. Why the rush? Why not let kids grow up and when they are 18 they can decide what they want to be and have any surgery they want. Why the rush to perform irreversible, life altering surgery on little kids?

Studies have shown that if you don't start smoking by the time you turn 18 odds are good you never will. Similarly, it's easier for Big Pharma to sell you a lifetime supply of artificial hormones if they can get you on the trans train before you're old enough to think for yourself.
