The truth about Sen. Manchin is that few political figures in American history have surrendered so much leverage and political power for so little in return than he did when he caved into the demands of Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and cast his vote for the IRA. Either that or the fix was in all along and he was permitted to do some poor theater (that of being "moderate", for example) before the deciding vote.
My guess is that Manchin is THE flim-flam man of the senate, and the good people of West Virginia still haven't caught on.
