I just assumed the IRS already could and did do this whenever they darn well felt like it. I figured that was one of the Rules Of The Road if you held any bank account within the USA. I vividly recall when the IRS wiped out one of my credit accounts because I owed back taxes. I had never felt so shocked, and at the same time, so powerless before.

Are you saying the IRS charged your credit card for back taxes? Without your knowledge?

I know that one can use their CC to pay but I’ve never heard of that move.

I know one thing - never ignore them. As long as you are in communication and making even the smallest effort they will not get into collection and liens.

In my job at an Escrow Company involved in closing real estate transactions, I would handle about 3-4 subpoenas/summons a year from the IRS seeking information. Sometimes it was a specific transaction, sometimes it was for everything we had ever done for someone or a company. We complied with no questions. Compliance was relatively easy just copied everything financial and shipped to IRS. I have no idea if those targeted had any notice of what was happening (actually never thought about it). Often I could make a guess that it was resulting from an audit.

I left on the road to work, I was gone from October to February, my wife filed abandoment, and the IRS took my savings out of my bank without notifying me. I called a lawyer, by coincidence it was the lawyer she used, he apologized for not knowing I was unaware papers had been filed, and my ex beotch knew my location at all times. Not much money, but in 1978 $500 went a long way. Govt kept it for themselves, my ex got none of it. For welfare she collected. That’s welfare fraud I said, they shrugged their shoulders and ushered me out of the office. She was accepting money from my job, welfare and milking her parents and people who bought her BS. IRS flat out sux, along with DSHS.

Lee, doesn’t matter how the court rules. The IRS will just keep doing whatever it wants. It has plenty of bullying power to make the banks kowtow.

The national security state has slipped beyond all controls and will continue to accumulate power until the nation bows down to it.
