I knew a guy that survived multiple roll-overs while driving drunk. He had a court-ordered breathalyzer installed in a car. He’d drink beer while fishing, and have his girlfriend start the car for him when he left. His dad finally begged a judge to lock him up so he could dry out...last ditch effort to save his life.
Sad.
Where did you buy that bubble you're living in? Cosco? how much did it cost?
I mean, OMG!!! You're so adorable!!!

Per the above, she blew three times over the limit.
Also interesting: per another article I ran across, she also was charged for pot possession.
I wonder if that, the pot possession, was one if the charges dropped.
And if so, why?
That’s the only article I have seen that mentions the pot.
Someone should really follow up on the pot angle.
Bet it would be worth it.
>> MADD has done a great job the past 50 years raising awareness.
And lowering the BAC.
[Illinois] Definition of DUI
“If your blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) is 0.08% or higher, you are legally drunk and it is illegal for you to drive. However, if you are driving with a BAC between 0.05% and 0.08%, you may still be cited for a DUI if your behavior suggests you are impaired. This is at the discretion of the officer citing you. Even with a BAC below the legal limit, you are still far more likely to be involved in a fatal accident than if you didn’t consume any alcohol.
Unlike being cited for driving with a BAC of 0.08% or above, BACs between 0.05% and 0.08% do not trigger the statutory summary suspension detailed below; the penalties are instead entirely based on the outcome of the court case.”
So what exactly was her BAC at the time of arrest? “3 times the legal limit” could have been as low as 0.15%.
>> MADD is the HOA of driving. Also a bunch of hypocrites.
Agree with both statements.
As well as with your previous post about how the fault of any accident shifts to the DUI driver automatically. Not sure that’s a bad thing, but it’s a fact in most states. The theory being, if you’re driving impaired, you shouldn’t have even been on the road to be involved in the accident.
Your posts sound like a liberTardian? Are you one of those?
I have the same opinion on speed traps. Nothing I hate more than some cop parked under some trees with a radar gun while eating a donut. I see them on my way to work all the time. Nabbing working people just trying to get to their jobs because they were over the speed limit on a sunny morning with dry roads and excellent visibility.
Try driving those roads right at the speed limit and you are immediately tailgated, which is even more dangerous than going at a speed appropriate to the conditions (which is usually 10-15 mph above posted speed limits).
What the cops need to be doing, if their true intent is making the roads safer, is going after the drivers who are recklessly passing, changing lanes, tailgating and whatnot.
I shouldn’t have - many times over. I am eternally grateful to the Lord for being there for me.
“ Someone should really follow up on the pot angle.

Worth what, for crying out loud?
She should have left the alcohol alone. Her victims would still be alive and that Bradley diploma of her’s would have opened all kind of managerial careers at Starbuck’s. Instead…
Driving home from work at 0030 this morning I followed two cars being driven by impaired drivers.
I found a good chart at Healthline. I don’t see any of the 0.08% impairments in the video of the young lady, much less the 0.15%+ impairments.
At 0.08%
• small and large motor function decline
• poor hearing, seeing, speaking, and coordination
• short-term memory loss
• inability to concentrate
• impaired perception
• reduced cognitive processing speed
At 0.15%+
• major loss of motor control
• poor or no balance
• severe attention and reaction deficits
• inability to cognitively process sounds or visuals
• nausea or vomiting
I LIKE THAT SOLUTION!!!!!!
I have driven over a MILLION miles. Put over 444,000 miles on the ONLY New car I ever had...all others were used.
NEVER DROVE DRUNK.
Exactly right - but that's a lot of work. :)
You might be surprised how much of the “Population” is Chronic Alcoholics..
When my ‘mother’ died-—her co workers refused to believe her cause of death was alcoholism.
THEY said she DIDN’T DRINK.
I told them :”YOU NEVER SAW HER SOBER”
She was a functioning alcoholic-—from her early 20;s or earlier. Died at 57.
and the slow drivers in the left lane that promote passing on the right in the blind spot ... they are the most dangerous drivers in the world IMHO due to their sheer numbers ... and I’ve driver over a million highway miles ...
Insurance industry studies have shown that enforcement of limits below .12 have no effect on the number of injury/fatal accidents.
