You don’t have to, but your argument will not be persuasive if you cannot say who did the thing you allege, especially if there is no specific act that you are alleging.

Tens of thousands of assaultive and property crimes are committed in this country every year, a vast majority of which are never solved - i.e., a name is not put with the crime, even though a crime is well established to have been committed. The dead bodies and permanent injuries prove that beyond any doubt.

Do we compile crime statistics based ONLY on the crimes which are identified, solved and successfully prosecuted? According to your rationale, we should.

You forget the original point. A chart of unofficial media vote totals is useless. It is not evidence of anything, just that you found it entertaining.
