I heard Rush talk about Jesse Watters and complimenting his natural talent.

I think Rush saw him as a contender or successor. Watters has that gift of gab and that kind of self-mocking Limbaugh humor of looking down over his world (God’s gift to man), but we knew it was all an act. Rush couldn’t have been a more humble and giving person. Watters, being young, doesn’t yet have Rush’s endearing avuncular personality, but give him time.

Tucker has terrific monologues and essays, but his giggle and cackle don’t serve him well. Tucker probably knows he is smarter than most of us. Rush was smarter than just about anyone, but he never let himself come off that way. I would put Ronald Reagan, Clarence Thomas and Milton Friedman on that Rush intellectual plane.

In the long run, I see Jesse Watters as the more personable and natural character that would take him a long long way should he strike out on his own. Rush saw that too.

Not hatt anyone cares anymore, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they move Watters into Tucker’s timeslot and give the 7PM Eastern slot to some blonde. Maybe Tomi — she’s hosted shows on OAN and on TheBlaze.
