Did you forget that Desantis has already been in Washington? He has a lot more experience than Trump did when he took office - which is probably why he has been able to run such a tight and effective administration as governor.
No haven’t forgotten - but certainly not as President. His military experience etc. has given him the ability to be effective as he is in Florida....and would do also as President. However he would still need that learning curve.

Not executive experience. Trump beats DeSantis in that area, by a wide margin. DeSantis appears to me to be heavily managed. He was able to walk into a situation in Florida where his party controls all the levers of power and faces little resistance.
