The US sends practically no govt to govt aid to India. India does however help out a lot of other countries.
So where’s India gonna go...to the Yuan?
India essentially hates the PRC. The yuan will be used only by private companies and only if the other party absolutely insists. The Indian Rupee is the usual choice, with some oil coming in UAE Dirhams.
Just tariff india for all indian labor both in the USA or provided via computer or phone if they switch currency.
Not so easy. Most large corporations have large centres in India now. Indian working in the US do have a kind of "tariff". They pay towards Social Security but if/when they return to India, this money is kept by the US.
Im sure India will love china overlords
India hates the Chinese. Along with Japan, the US, and Australia they are working to limit Chinese hegemony. Heard of the Quad?
The only reason why India is trying to back away from the dollar is because Soros has promised to overthrow the current Indian Govt and may try to sanction Indian use of the dollar, even confiscate them outright. This is a threat that came vividly to life when the $ was weaponised against Russia. It is only a safety thing, not ideological.
I was being facetious.
India most definitely will not go to the yuan.
India see’s China as an existential threat and the USA as a friendly nation. India see’s Russia as a bulwark against China (though Modi’s government needs to see that is no longer the case) and as a source of very cheap gas for now.
Sheesh.
While Brandon is a putz, let's not count the USA out quite yet
Have you even been to poor countries? The poorest of the poor in the USA (even the homeless in San Francisco) live far better than even lower middle class in say Bangladesh (which isn't the poorest of the poor countries)
The office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) on Monday removed India, along with several other countries, from the list of beneficiaries of trade subsidy preference under the US counter-vailing duty (CVD) laws. The subsidy preference is a World Trade Organisation rule that allows self-declared developing countries to get preferential trade treatment in developed countries in order to provide a boost to the weaker economies.
“The poorest of the poor in the USA (even the homeless in San Francisco) live far better than even lower middle class in say Bangladesh”
But the problem I have in this current state of affairs, is that our “betters” want us all in the same poorest of the poor class. Washington and his men would have been shooting by now.
yup,. you’re right
