A ban on dozens of semi-automatic rifles cleared the Washington state Legislature on Wednesday and the governor is expected to sign it into law.
The high-powered firearms — once banned nationwide — are now the weapon of choice among young men responsible for most of the country’s devastating mass shootings.
The ban comes after multiple failed attempts in the state’s Legislature, and amid the most mass shootings during the first 100 days of a calendar year since 2009.
The Washington law would block the sale, distribution, manufacture and importation of more than 50 gun models, including AR-15s, AK-47s and similar style rifles. These guns fire one bullet per trigger pull and automatically reload for a subsequent shot. Some exemptions are included for sales to law enforcement agencies and the military in Washington. The measure does not bar the possession of the weapons by people who already have them.
The law would go into effect immediately once it’s signed by Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee, who has long advocated for such a ban.

And the moving companies cheer.
They refuse to learn from the Indians, Jews. and other People that let,or in our case requested their Government to disarm them. But then it will be too late.
For those who remember Clinton’s “ban”, all that were banned was certain named rifles.
The manufacturers renamed the rifles and continued to sell them with minor changes.
1.Name Change.
2.Removal of the flash suppressor.
3.Removal of the bayonet lug (how many bayonettings happened since 1900?)
4.making the collapsible stock solid.
5.adding a 10 round magazine(even though millions of 30 round magazines were available).
Then that bowdlerized rifle was still for sale all through the joke of a ban.
Expect a mass shooting in Colorado in the next few months. The shelved bill will be pulled out and passed before opposition can be mounted against it.
That is how California got their AW ban passed by releasing Pat Purdy from a mental institution, allow him to violate Federal gun laws and pass the California waiting period.
He then shot up the Stockton School yard and then killed himself. The shelved AW ban bill was pulled out and passed before opposition could be mounted against it.
The stun gun ruling?
The ruling that set the threshold of 200,000 as being, “In Common Use?”
Yeah. With the SAF being in the same state, this’ll get thrown out.
The next one doesn’t even have to be in Colorado.
The commies passed gun control after Sandy Hook.
There should be a law passed in Colorado that says that if any gun control gets challenged for it’s constitutionality in any courts, the sponsors of said gun control bills must fund its legal defense from their own pockets, and that tax dollars shall not be used for it.
Bzzzt. Wrong.
“High powered”
Stop reading there because the author doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
But their target audience hasn't got Clue #1 either.
Why is there not a movement in eastern Washington to secede and join Idaho?
DEAR GOD:
PLEASE arrange for an earthquake that takes Calif-—Oregon—& Washington out to sea.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
SAF?
My semi-auto rifles identify as muskets.
Once they cross the Cascade mountains and into E. Washington (Solid red counties), they're in for a big surprise.

I hope WA FFLs stocked up on freight trains of ARs and AKs, cause it’s going to be a boom season.
Inslee could have signed the bill yesterday under the ‘emergency clause’, but according to Pro-gun attorney Bill Kirk, he’s waiting until next week when the national anti-gunners are invited to show-up, David Hogg, Mom’s against, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah, so he can have a virtue signaling major media event.
Memo to self: Add Washington state to list of places where you don’t want to live.
