Conservatives who ran on culture war issues won dozens of school board elections in battleground and Democrat-controlled states last week, but you wouldn’t know that from Politico’s coverage of the races. The outlet claimed pro-parent candidates who ran against racist curricula in classrooms, lockdowns, and radical gender ideology “flamed out.”
Politico not-so-subtly concluded, based on recent school board election results in Illinois and Wisconsin, that “leaning on school-based wedge issues to court primary voters in a crowded White House campaign” won’t bode well for 2024 front-runner Republicans including former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has not yet announced his candidacy.
Not long after publication on Monday, the article gained traction with leftist talking heads and organizations such as Rachel Maddow, the Lincoln Project, the nation’s largest teachers union, and American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten, who were thrilled to share about the potential demise of the issues that made them a target of public scrutiny for the last three years.

Meanwhile, when it comes to education, conservative parents are ignoring them and taking over school board seats across the nation.
BTTT
When I asked local R office. They said they do not provide any information on school board races because they are non-partisan. How much more partisan can a school board be. The future of our children are at stake.
Don’t you get it yet? Get off the RNC plantation. They are poison and part of the swamp system. The old GOP is dead …those backstabbing POS McCain Romney, McConnell RINOS establishment needs a stake through the heart.
Election law forbids a political party from endorsing in non partisan races. That is why they are designated non partisan.
Trashing the Republican Party amd falsely smearing them does not help this country.
“Meanwhile, when it comes to education, conservative parents are ignoring them and taking over school board seats across the nation.”
Good. There should also be a goal to have at least one kid in every classroom who has been coached to tattle on teacher if he/she goes off the rails.
You can contact local Republican clubs. Our Tucson Republican Women’s club helped a lot of conservative school board candidates.
Does swamp creature McDaniels ring a bell why the RNC is in the sewer? Sorry, but the republican party left me a long time ago.
Was local county republican party head quarters.
dozens?
That’s fine but dont blame them for not endorsing in non partisan races
Surely you jest. Election Laws ? Come on the rats break every law election law known to men and they don’t give an ass wipe about election loss. Las only apply to Republicans. We have to start playing dirty, real dirty to save the republic or else this nation is rapidly descending into nothing. So screw election laws that only apply to Republicans and the rats get away so easily by committing them.
No I don’t jest
I serve on a Central Committee.
We cant endorse in non partisan races. We are in enemy territory. We have to mind our p’s and q’s. Or we get fined/sanctioned/sued/removed.
I am fine with criticizing any given republican on an issue but you cant blame them for not endorsing in non partisan races.
We did a side by side comparison of candidates for non partisan races on our website. That was legal and helpful to our voters.
Sorry for all the typos…was in a rush and didn’t proofread my post. But you have a logical point there. Even so the evil despicable win at all cost rat candidates, for any position, must not be trusted!
