The Wagner Group private military company (PMC) may be trying to force mobilized Russian personnel to sign contracts with the mercenaries fighting for Moscow to offset their troop losses in Ukraine.
Spearheading Moscow's fierce fight for the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut that has raged for months, the group, headed by businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, has seen a huge number of troops killed in action.
"A group of around 170 mobilized men from these aircraft ... were forced to sign contracts with the Wagner PMC," Astra reported, citing the soldiers' relatives. Russian sources had previously reported that 100 mobilized personnel in Luhansk Oblast disappeared from April 7 after refusing to sign contracts with Wagner. The independent Russian language news outlet Astra shared a video of a group of mobilized personnel from the Moscow and Ivanovo regions complaining that they had been taken to Ukraine without their knowledge.
They had been sent by plane from Kursk to Rostov-on-Don supposedly for training but were then transferred at night to the Ukrainian oblast of Luhansk.

Go watch “military summary” that uses the wests own maps, cover’s the troop movements. There are others on YouTube as well, they all concur. This article is BS propaganda, normal for western media. Surprises do happen though.
Yet, the Wagner group has been in Ukraine for many months now, and have not made any progress, and in fact has suffered so many casualties that, it’s not able to win the battles it’s been in and likely will never win.
It’s the same with Russia as a whole, where they’ve not made any progress since the beginning of the invasion and in fact have been pushed out of areas that they won control over in the beginning.
No matter what, Russia will not win the war and in fact, will not be allowed to win the war.
LOL why push forward when your enemy keep pouring into your trap. A 7 to 1 loss ratio is not sustainable for any army.
They have made progress, slow and meticulous. The information is available with multiple independent analysts, just not from the western media.
Your last sentence reveal’s that you are a part of “Clown World”. No additional comment needed.
Update on the conflict in Ukraine for April 19, 2023
- Both Russia's and Ukraine's presidents visit front line troops in Kherson and the Donbass region respectively;
- Russian forces continue to gain ground in Bakhmut, pro-Ukrainian maps show the main rail station now under Russian control;
- Ukrainian general admits Russia carrying out airstrikes in Bakhmut further indicating an increasingly pivotal change in the nature of fighting in Russia's favor;
- Western analysis continues to paint a bleak picture regarding Ukraine's upcoming offensive, noting that even if it manages to succeed in taking territory, it does little to change the lopsided nature of what is actually a war of attrition Ukraine is losing;
- Former Western diplomats and military leaders have called for greater support for Ukraine, refusing to acknowledge the limits of Western military industrial output and Ukraine's ability to absorb weapon systems they are unfamiliar with;
The truth is verifiable by many non Russian sources and the leaked papers from a couple of weeks ago. I don’t care who wins, as a trader I just need the factual truth for trading reasons.
