Mass is the objects weight divided by the acceleration of gravity as weighed. Velocity is in like terms.
Take a 4000 pound auto at 60 mph or 88 feet per second and acceleration pf gravity is 32.16 feet per second per second or ft per second squared do the math and that dang car has 481,592 foot pounds of kinetic energy far far more than any magazines of ammo. Double the speed and quadruple the energy. No talk of common sense here
And an automobile can accelerate between human impacts.
