Got the wrong link at the bottom. It’s supposed to go to the Fox link.
Yes, good man who stayed true to the faith throughout the trials life threw at him.
He ran the race of Life well!
He was excellent.
Wow. RIP. Good preacher.
But am comfort d knowing I will be able to see him in eternal life.
I read a lot about him recently.
He was a flawed man, as are we all.
But he had the righteousness that is gifted to us all through Jesus, so his final destination will be glorious.
My hero.
I prefer Adrian Rogers. RIP, Dr. Stanley.
Stanley seemed genuine, not a huckster or phony like some televangelists.
I liked the man and the sermons I heard from him.
A friend turned me onto him back around 20 years ago.
I am so sorry to hear this. Dr. Stanley was my go-to guy for Sunday TV sermons.
And thanks to tape recordings, I hope this will continue.
No one is perfect. But Stanley’s preaching seemed very grounded, and biblically sound.
No fire and brimstone. No “Just smile your troubles away.” And no “If you send me $1000, good things will happen to you.” Just the Word.
Dr. Stanley will be missed.
Amen 🙏🏻!!!!
Just like Billy Graham!
Franklin Graham is someone I find genuine, along with his father Billy!
I always liked him and enjoyed his sermons. He was genuine and sincere in his beliefs and spoke in a straightforward manner. There was no “fire and brimstone” shouting at the audience. Also, unlike a number of others on Christiaan television, he didn’t try to scam people into sending him a “faith seed” in order to secure God’s blessing.
A Bible mentor of mine. I facilitate an internet class every Tuesday night w/Christian friends of mine. Guys from 4 different states. Can’t count how many times I’ve used Dr. Stanley’s Bible lessons as my source. I say “facilitate” because it’s not me teaching the class, it’s the Holy Spirit.
Agreed. He helped me a number of times over the years through his ministry.
He was one of my favorites.
