“ The junior at Staley High School, who is Black, was allegedly shot in the head by the homeowner Lester, who is white. Lester allegedly shot Yarl again after he had fallen to the ground. Yarl got up and sought help at three homes before someone assisted him, family members said.”
“ Police conducted an informal interview with Yarl at Children’s Mercy Hospital. The teen said he rang the doorbell, waited outside and did not pull on the door. A man opened the door holding a firearm. Yarl said he was immediately shot in the head and fell to the ground where he was shot a second time, this time in the right arm.
Yarl told police the man said, “Don’t come around here.”
At a news conference Monday, Thompson was asked if race was a factor. He said yes, but declined to elaborate.”
Well. Sounds like a nice man. Hopefully he’ll spend the rest of his life on tax payers money in a nice homey place with bars.

Crump got to him.

“Prosecutors said the homeowner Andrew Lester, 84, shot the teenager twice through the glass of his door”
Hmm. So Andrew Lester opened his front door and immediately shot Yarl through the glass of his door. Those “facts” don’t quite align. I’m sympathetic to Yarl, but his statement seems a bit too perfect (did Benjamin Crump meet with Yarl before the police interviewed him?). If evidence proves that the glass was shot out from inside, it makes Lester look worse, but brings the witness’s statement into question.
