Ralph Yarl was shot through the glass by a white homeowner after mistakenly approaching the wrong address He had been going to collect his two younger twin brothers from a house less than a block away in Kansas City, Missouri Police have not brought any charges in the incident, and released the suspected gunman after 24 hours
Actresses Viola Davis and Halle Berry have both called for justice for a black teenager who was shot in the head through a glass door by a white homeowner after her went to the wrong address to pick up his younger siblings.
Ralph Yarl, 16, was allegedly attacked outside of a house in Kansas City, Missouri, just a block away from the property his twin brothers were waiting to be picked up from.
He reportedly pulled into the driveway of the home at 10pm, rang the doorbell, and was immediately shot in the head by the white homeowner – who has not been identified.
Hundreds of protesters marched outside the home of the suspected shooter on Sunday with the family of Ralph to demand justice for the teenager.
More than $995,000 have been raised by a GoFundMe account to help Ralph and his family with the medical bills, as he remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Yep. I wonder if there is more to this story? If not the guy that shot him should be arrested and charged.
Is there ANY evidence that the shooting was racially motivated? Any at all?
As long as people like these parents focus on race, there will be no end to racism.
You have more faith than I do if you think a court will exhibit justice in a white-on-black shooting. I hope the homeowner has a ring camera recording the teen yelling he was going to hurt the homeowner.
Good question. May be important part of the story left out but I would simply stay quiet and wait for person to leave and even if they started to break in I would wait until they were inside after a verbal warning before pouring the lead on.
Then don’t answer the door. Shooting in the head is a deliberate act never justified without threat of grievous bodily harm.
“Why would you shoot someone for ringing your doorbell?”
A normal person wouldn’t — if that indeed is what happened. Evidence will have to be presented in court.
Regardless of what actually happened this shooter’s life is essentially over. This is great reason to have a doorbell camera.
Described by his family as a “musical genius”, Yarl, who plays both the clarinet and bassoon, was rushed to hospital on Thursday night last week after being shot at 10.30 pm.
While the young musician is said to be in recovery, reports state that he has been left with ‘life-changing injuries’ following the shooting.
Yarl recently earned a second chair position in the Missouri All-State Band with an honourable mention, and according to his family, is one of the top bass clarinet players in Missouri. He is also a section leader in his school marching band, plays multiple instruments in the Northland Symphony Youth Orchestra, and performs as part of his school’s Jazz and competition band.

So the guy hasn’t made a statement. The police are waiting for him to say something so they can use that against him at trial. That’s why he isn’t arrested yet.
The guy does need a lawyer and not to talk to cops. But on the surface it looks like he’s guilty.
You shouldn’t shoot someone for ringing your doorbell - if that’s what actually happened.
Wow, crazy. People are freaking mental cases.
Last part of what you mentioned seems very doubtful based on the high quality person that this young man appears to be.

Dang, it sounds like he was a nice kid. I hope he recovers. As for this idiot shooting through locked doors, I can’t think of any defense for him.
This is true. I know nothing about this man (the shooter) and do not know the whole story of how he came to shoot a person in the head simply for ringing his doorbell. My gut tells me there has to be more to the story.
However, his life is over. He is likely facing a very stiff prison sentence and until then he will be stalked wherever he goes.
This homeowner should be facing charges.
If the facts of the case are anything close to what has been reported.
Someone, anyone walks up to a house rings a doorbell and gets shot in the head through the door for it, the shooter is a criminal, period.
If folks here think otherwise, there is no hope for this nation.
Interrupt a clan meeting? Aren’t all whitees secret clan persons? 🤔. Don’t say anything about berry or will smif might slap you.
Amen.
If he shot someone in the head through a closed front door for ringing his doorbell, his life SHOULD be over.
How many died from fentanyl?
100,000 died from ODs in a year......crickets. Well except for more 2nd amendment infringing.
Agreed. If that’s the way it went down.
