The Russians fought for months at great loss to gain that much of Bakhmut. How many victories like that can they afford?

Russian men keep signing up to join the Russian army, the army has plenty of ammo, and Putin’s popularity polls are very positive.
From what I understand their goal wasn’t to take Bakhmut in blitzkrieg fashion, but to simply use it to grind the Uke army into dust.
Is sure seems like Russia controls a huge swath of territory along the Eastern Ukrainian border and Crimea. I suspect this will not change over the next several days and weeks, and if the war continues on into the Summer months, then
Russia will expand it’s controlled areas.
The bottom line being, when will people come to their senses and negotiate a peace agreement based on this reality?
But the Biden Administration wants no ceasefire. Why?

It is difficult to believe such abusive individuals exist on FR. Perhaps, their anonymity gives them boldness.
However, the exact opposite happens.
Their oppositional behavior actual empowers their intended victims to continue to post truth rather than acquiescence to their malevolent attempt to control freedom of thought and expression on FR forums.
I shared with my husband I have received more respect from the drug addicted within the inner-city of Detroit than by some on FR.
