“We used to have places for people like this in the past.
I Remember Republicans closed them down as unnecessary back in the early 90’s. Ya know to save $$.
We see the flower of that seed today.”

The entire sixth floor of our closest hospital previously was dedicated to the in-patient treatment of the mentally ill until a more permanent treatment center could be found for them. The saying for someone who was mentally off would be “well he is a candidate for the sixth floor!”.

That section of the hospital was closed in the 90s and now the mentally ill and drug-addicted just walk the streets, most of them homeless, as they break into cars and homes to steal what they want.

I’m in a nearby rural county and I avoid going into “town” as much as possible.

Nice sentiment, and reply.
I currently live in n Downtown Memphis. The homeless situation is unnecessary.
My Father passed last year just before Easter. Your statement on your homepage about loss of family hits the mark.👍

It’s the Fifth Floor here, and it is overrun. We have a huge mental hospital that needs to be refurbished and reopened.
