A leap in donations since the announcement of criminal charges against Donald Trump has boosted his 2024 White House ambitions.

AP reports Trump has raised more than $34 million already this year with the total received after the March 30 New York indictment approaching what he garnered over the previous three months.

Trump’s latest fundraising report was due Saturday with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) reportedly showing he raised more than $18.8 million between his main campaign account and a joint fundraising account over the the first three months of the year, the campaign said.

Of that total for the Jan. 1-March 31 period, $4 million came in after Trump was indicted March 30 by a grand jury in Manhattan on charges stemming from the 2016 election.

Support by backers before and after the NYC court appearance has been open and obvious.

The fundraising numbers were first reported by Politico.

Trump has dominated the GOP field in the early stages of the 2024 presidential race although the field of potential challengers is slowly growing.

Trump’s U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley, a former South Carolina governor; former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who announced days after Trump’s indictment was filed; and tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, have all said they will be running.

With all the super rich Democrats around, they could raise $34 million before lunch if they needed to.

They also have the option to crank up the printing presses and launder federal money into their campaign coffers.

The thing that threw me off in the 2020 election, was how much impact TV ads still have.

The Democrats literally had the monopoly on TV ads during the campaign, and their message was pretty devastating, and there was no counter to it. That’s why Biden could campaign in his basement.

We’d better wise up, or 2024 will be the same.

No! It’s better for the GOP to take the “high road” and stand on their principles rather the flood the airways with ads pointing out Biden’s failures. For Biden is an old man and to point out his dementia is an ageist attitude or either a conspiracy theory from far right-wing white supremacists.

Listen to Mitt Romney if you want to know the proper way to win a Presidential election. He is very knowledgeable about such things.

That, and the MSM pimping for the Dems 24/7/365. Ditto Big Tech, academia, Hollywood, etc.

I agree. $34 million is just a drop compared to what democrats haul in from their “sources”. It’s a lot to the little people who watch the news, though.

We need more ads on TV. Democrats were everywhere. On cable, networks, local television, Pluto TV, ROKU. Most of them negative attack ads. Tweets and rallies are not enough. A good part of the ads have to be negative because what democrats are doing to the country is negative.

And the Republicans have so much material to work with, but they never use it.
