I am not a lawyer, but I do not immediately comprehend how a state could take something that is prohibited by federal law and legalize it. There might be something wrong with my understanding (but if so, what?). In connection with all of this is that it is my impression (note: not researched) that IRS code prevents IRS information divulged by ordinary taxpayers from being released to the general public. (If I am wrong, my apologies.)
